Xolo Flute

Aztec story teller Michael Heralda plays a flute carved to look like the Xoloitzcuintli, or “Xolo” dog, at the University of La Verne’s Aztec Stories event. According to Meshika legend, Xolotl (god of lightning and death) created the dog to protect the living and guide the dead through Mictlán, the Underworld.
